  1. Thank you so much for having us in your school! This was a wonderful experience! Thank you for the amazing discussion of the different classes. It was interesting to compare and contrast the high and lower leveled guided reading groups. This discussion really helped me to see, not only the differences of the groups, but how I should approach the different levels in my future classroom. Thank you again!

  2. Thank you for allowing us to come to your school and into your classrooms! It was great being able to see a male teach and lead a reading group, because it's something I have never seen before. It was wonderful to be able to compare and discuss how the different leveled groups were led

  3. We really appreciate you letting us come into your 3rd grade classrooms. It was eye opening to see the huge difference between high and low level learners. I felt I learned the most from this observation than the others we have experienced. I look forward to the challenge when I am a teacher to work with every student and getting them to a level that they need to be at. I was so happy to see that all of the teachers worked so hard to help all of the students no matter their level. I hope to be this way when I am a teacher in my own classroom. Thank you again for letting us come into your classrooms!

  4. Thank you so much for your time. I enjoyed watching the lower reading group in Mr. Livermore's classroom. The group meeting session after the classroom visit was wonderful. It was great to see a principal be so eager to help pre-service teachers. Thank you all for your time and even switching your literacy time to be able to work with us. It is greatly appreciated.

  11. Thank you to everyone involved in helping us learn yesterday. I was very impressed with the guided reading group in Mrs. Berry's class. They knew how to use context clues to define words and delved deeper into the story by discussing things that surprised and confused them as well as made them laugh.

  12. Thank you for opening your doors to our class. Being able to witness the guided reading group in Mrs. Wilsons classroom was very interesting. She kept their attention and expected them to drive the conversation. It was very helpful to have the post observation activity as well. Thank you for answering our questions and allowing us into your rooms.

  14. Thank you so much for allowing us to visit your school and your classes. I learned a lot watching Mr. Jones' guided reading group, talking with him, and discussing with the rest of the class what their experiences were in the other classrooms. Making time for us to have those in-depth discussions about what we watched and observed only enhanced our experience and it was extremely helpful. I learned so much from everyone and cannot thank you enough for the wonderful experience.

Your school. It is always an excellent experience to see classrooms. I know many appreciated seeing a male classroom. Not many have been able to do that. Thank you very much!

  17. I can not say how thankful I am to have been able to go into a classroom and watch a lower reading group being taught a literacy lesson. It is nice to see how different teachers react when they have to pull the information from the students, and literally help them every step of the way. It is not an easy task, and I feel Mr. Livermore gave us an excellent example! I am also very thankful for the discussion afterward, it was valuable, and we haven't had that opportunity at any of the other schools! Thanks again, and Merry Christmas!

It was extremely beneficial to us all to compare the two groups that we observed afterwards. We have not had that in depth of an experience as a whole class in all of our observations! The discussions that we had helped us all and I know we are all grateful. Thank you for everything!!

  22. Thank you all so much for this wonderful experience. It was so interesting to see the different kinds of ways that each teacher approached their groups. I also thought it was great to see the differences between the high and low groups, and the support that each teacher offered. I think it is very interesting to hear the kinds of problems that teachers can face with different kinds of students, and how they handle the situations. Thank you all again for letting us come in, and spending time with us answering questions.

  25. Thank so very much for the opportunity to come and observe your reading group! I really learned a lot from seeing the scaffolding in the lower level reading group and listening to the other students talk about their experiences in the more advanced group. At this point in my education, gaining knowledge about classroom workings is extremely helpful! Also, thank you to Mrs. Shirley for hosting our discussion session after the visit! I learned quite a bit there too about classroom diversity.

  26. Thank you for the opportunity to observe during your literacy groups. It was very helpful for me since I have no experience with 3rd grade. Observing what you do in older literacy groups was very beneficial. I enjoyed our interactive discussion after our classroom visits. This was the most helpful experience I have had with all of our class coming to observe. Again thank you for allowing 30 students come into your school!
